Submit your application through the contact form. Include your Alpaca account status and which tier interests you. Beta is free — no payment during the testing period.

Create a Free Alpaca Account

Sign up for a free account at alpaca.markets. Alpaca offers commission-free US stock trading and crypto, with full API access. No deposit is required for paper trading.

📋STEP 3

Open a Paper Trading Environment

Inside Alpaca, paper trading is available by default. You'll get a virtual account with simulated funds to test the bot before using real capital. Alpaca paper trading mirrors real market data.

💰STEP 4

Set Your Paper Balance

Set your paper account balance to match the amount you plan to trade with when you go live. This makes your paper results more realistic and directly comparable to what you'd see with real capital.

💡 Alpaca paper accounts start at $100,000 by default — you can adjust this in account settings.
⚙️STEP 5

PDT Protection — Built In

If your account is under $25,000, the bot automatically runs in PDT Safe Mode. Exits are deferred to the next market open instead of closing same-day, keeping you within the 3-day-trade limit. Hard stop-losses still fire immediately. No changes to your Alpaca account are needed.

✅ PDT Safe Mode is automatic — the bot detects your account balance and adjusts its behavior. Nothing to configure.

Generate Paper Trading API Keys

Inside your Alpaca dashboard, generate API keys for the paper trading environment. Give them trade permissions only — never enable withdrawal permissions. Copy the key and secret somewhere safe.

📦STEP 7

Download Your Bot Files

After beta approval, you'll receive your bot files (Python scripts + .env.example + README). Files are delivered via a secure download link. No cloud login required after that — everything runs locally on your machine.

🐍STEP 8

Follow the Setup README

The README walks you through: installing Python dependencies (pip install), creating your .env file, and adding your paper API key and secret. Takes about 10 minutes. Works on Mac, Linux, and Windows.

💡 If you can open a terminal and edit a text file, you can do this.
🤖STEP 9

Run in Paper Mode — Review Daily Logs

Start the bot with PAPER=True (default). It will run in your terminal, scanning for setups and executing simulated trades in your Alpaca paper account. Check the daily summary log each morning to review trades.

Go Live When Ready

When you're satisfied with paper results and ready to use real capital: generate live API keys in Alpaca, set PAPER=False in your .env config, and restart the bot. Live trading is supported in all current tiers.
